When There Were Only Four

Me and my chicken-eaters at Grandma's house. 1962

The children didn't need bathing suits and didn't even mind the Mae West Vests, either! It was a visit to the lake in 1964 when Uncle Paul was building the first dock.

Our oldest daughter was waiting for the cabin to be built. She's standing in the back right corner which is my current bedroom.

  1. First of all thank you for your comment. I guess what I mean when I say I'm not a photographer is that I am not all that technical when it comes to a more sophisticated cameras. I really don't care. It's like a car. All I ask is that it works when I turn the key. I approach taking a picture by framing what I see, having the subject of the picture be what draws your eyes. That's the part of taking pictures I enjoy. It's like easy artwork for I will never be the artist or musician my father was.

Now see I like these kind of shots. Posting pictures from the past, family shots memorable occasions. I'm still jealous of where you live. Maybe someday.
