Rainbound

All I can say is I'm VERY glad we aren't having washouts across the lawn and road as we had before. A couple of weeks ago our yard guy climbed the hill behind the cabin, saw a tree down which was clogged with rocks and muddy debris causing the the washouts. It diverted the "normal" flow and he was able to readjust it back. What a guy!

There are alerts for flooding in neighboring communities and some roads are underwater. What a mess Mother Nature has created this Spring.

During this week we have had a rainy downpour each day. Today we saw the first Mallard momma swim across our view with about 5 or 6 little ones trailing behind. We hope the turtles or the osprey don't snatch them away before they are larger! There aren't nearly as many as in years past. My mother loved the ducks and wrote a story. I shall post her story soon.

In the meantime reading has been my activity and also playing with photos of our great grandsons. The baking spirit has vanished for now.
