Rose Love

I have never grown nor had any roses but I do love the various shapes and colors of the rose. A bouquet of them to me, is not good. They must be living, never cut! My images are numerous as they enchant me and give me inspiration. I got an idea of "marrying a couple" so here you are!

Rose

I took the original picture in the SC campground ten years ago on May 12, 2012. (Being inspired today, I flipped it and played with it.) It pays to sometimes look back at old stuff on the computer! When it is difficult to find subjects for my work, I can always find some there.

Soooooo, here is my artwork for today.

Rose Photo

Red is my favorite color.

Once in a while I submit one of my photos to our local NE PA station where I watch the news and weather.  In the link below, I apologize for the advertisement at the beginning, but the video below shows lovely pictures that are sent in by others like I do sometimes.

I have manipulated this same photo for an "arty" piece.

Summertime, Sumertime, sum sum Summertime!

And the flowers are blooming....Now I'm not going to identify them all but the Foxglove is one of my favorites. It's scientific name is Digitalis. These were growing in the wild along side of a dirt road.
The wild roses have very large and strong thorns! These were growing among the blackberry bushes.
Pink seems to be the color of the  day! Rose Pink Mallow are abundant.
And a little purple to change the mood...
I love the lacy foliage that is about to show its blossoms.
There are Sundrops everywhere with a touch of white nearby.

Be sure to look up, look down, look all around when you go for a walk or a golf car ride. (Are you singing yet?)
