At Home on Halloween

My 2nd clothespin art piece is finished. Now to mount or hang it. I only saved a few pins to use as snack bag clips. The variegated colors of the pins are due to many being about 40 years old!

Today is Halloween. I haven't made many photomanips this year. The picture below is an image I created in honor of my nephew and niece's 20th anniversary. Yes, they were married on Halloween. Every year they dress up,  carve pumpkins, attend spooky functions and enjoy that the four children are in the swing of it all.
The New Jersey family is celebrating it with their gang. Fun photos!
I baked a crustless pumpkin pie this morning in my pottery dish. It came out very well but I didn't plan far enough ahead to have some whipped cream or Cool Whip topping on hand. I didn't miss the crust, though. Ate 2 sections already! I love pumpkin pie. My mother used to put too much clove powder in hers but I just use a touch.

Busy hands are happy hands! I was going to iron my autumn leaves today but tomorrow will do!

Halloween Creations

Havin' fun now.... Every year I create a few of these. In the past they were better - more colorful, more intricate, more spooky BUT  I still enjoy creating them. These are the last of this year.

Halloween Family

They were married on Halloween in 2003. The guests were dressed in especially creative costumes for the big day. The groom's mother (my sister) wore a Christmas tree that she made from some sort of crispy material cut and sewn together with sparkles and a big star on top. Since that day four children became part of the family, every member creating, carving, and making a ritual for every day throughout the entire month of October through the 18 years! I have an image collection of hand-carved pumpkins, and way too many craft projects to show you here. The photos below were not taken my me, but are treasured by me!

Please enjoy the season! Click on image to enlarge!

Child-like

I'm having a grand time experimenting with the forgotten application I have rarely used on my computer. Today I drew, painted, messed up, but had a lot of fun trying different tools.

Spooky Stuff

Before I wire up my last embroidery hoop I took a break and began my Halloween photomanipulations. Two so far. More to come.

From a grandaughter's picture of a praying mantis that she saw climbing on the outside of her home, to a potter's picture of two soup bowls.  Here ya go!
