Well not really but it certainly is my preference. Today called for something hearty. That is, after I blow that guy off of my front porch who looks a lot like George Washington. I think he might be James's friend. I did a double take when I first saw him!
I've decided that he will disappear by himself while I'm mixing up today's recipe. Now when you read it at the end of this, please know that I used dried cherries instead of raisins. The Mister just told me that was a great idea!

- 🍒❄️Bran Nut and Raisin Bread❄️
- Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups Kellogg's® All-Bran® Original cereal
- 1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup milk
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/3 cup light molasses
- 3/4 cup walnuts, broken
- 3/4 cup raisins
- Directions
- Stir together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
- In large mixing bowl, combine KELLOGG'S ALL-BRAN cereal, sugar, milk, water and molasses. Add flour mixture, stirring only until combined. Stir in walnuts and raisins. Spread in 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan coated with cooking spray.
- Bake at 350° F about 1 hour or until wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pan. Remove from pan and cool completely on wire rack.
Note:
Yield: 1 loaf, 16 slices
- Good served with cream cheese spread. GMR
