April Showers?

On April 30th the wind blew and the rains came down - HARD!  Now we have had washouts in the past, the worst in 2010 — Below!

You see, the cabin was built at the bottom of a slope of trees, without thoughts of what would happen if there was a lot of rain in just a day or two. One time it did flow into the cabin's back surrounding ditch and came into the back room and ran across the floor. Floor tiles were removed and never replaced since then! 

Well, the heavy rain yesterday caused the flow of water to run across again. This time the yard guy had a diversion ditch that worked very well until then. It was washed out - not too badly though! A limb fell on the back roof, bouncing off and landing on the crepe myrtle behind. What a terrible racket it made!

What did I do? I got up early this morning and took pictures. There is nothing I can do about it until it is looked at by others.

At noon it is still flowing.

Mother Nature prevails and we'll just go with the flow!
