The bud from yesterday has opened and there are 12 more buds!

Behind a fence I saw more Dog Fennel growing tall and one lonely sunflower!

Delight and Plight

I have never seen lilies so low to the ground and large in size. This little surprise was a delight. They are fancy aren't they? I can count 13 more buds on this beauty!

Then I watched an egret for a very long time who didn't ever catch his dinner after hundreds of tries! I wonder why...

GASP!

A young girl found 2 large shark's teeth in this general area! I couldn't get over how nice they were.
If you aren't familiar with the hobby of finding and collecting them, you might not understand my GASP when I read this article online and then saw it on our SC local TV stations.

Amazing Teeth Found

Cut and Cough

This is what happens when a romp with the old canine boy "Pal," turns into a slash through the Mister's skin. After running under cold water for many minutes to stop the bleed, I patched it up with Neosporin, gauze pads and wrapped until the next day. Against my suggestion, the Mister didn't think it needed stitches and was toughing it out. The next day came and my wraps came off and it looked quite raw and open so......off to the Doctor's Care we went.

This is the professional wrap after doctor visit. 

 No stitches were necessary, but the slash was pulled together with special tape stitches before wrapping. The tape  is supposed to dry and fall off after the wound is healed.

Doctor said to unwrap in the morning and let it dry out to heal properly. OK. DONE!

Supplies for treatments. 

It was a "twofer" trip. Yes, what I thought was just my allergies kicking at me, it seems that I have developed bronchitis after several days. I was also hoping it would go away, but.......I tagged along and decided to be treated.  Came back with antibiotic and nebulizer after 15 minute nebulizer treatment during doctor visit.  Feeling better. Last year at the same time I had the same issue.

Baking, Birding, Blooming Hodge-Podge

Yes, I'm still at it. This pan is already almost empty. I used golden raisins for a change; mostly French bread this time.

Today, as I rode along the edge of the large pond, I spotted one lonely flower peeking from the middle of this patch.

Then, I saw so many pretty Bindweed flowers that I had a choice of selecting a few to capture.

The Dog Fennel is flourishing in several areas.

These Veronica Longifolia were bedded beside a nearby unit. 

And these were as well...

I DID NOT change the color to make the Peace Lily so yellow!

Guess my camera really really captures yellow!

I then spotted this Red-winged Blackbird high up in a tree. He was really singing sweetly. The male Red-winged Blackbird's conk-la-ree! is a classic sound of wetlands across the continent.

White and Yellow

It took me a long time to get the egret as he was VERY FAR AWAY and I was on full zoom with no support other than my elbow on the back of the golf cart. I was hoping he would fly or at least show me an extended wing stretch. These are the best movements he would perform after preening for about half an hour. My inexpensive camera does a fine job with the zoom option, don't you think?

This was just a "fluff and stretch."

The wild yellow flowers on the edge of the swash have bloomed. I don't know what kind they are, but I DO know that the centers are picky and hard, not soft as I expected.

High in the Trees

Never forgetting to look up, I see many old Trumpet Vine seed pods. Some are open some are still closed. Last year was a bumper crop! The vines wrap around all varieties of the tall and dense leaved trees throughout the park. 

And then it rained! HARD!

So I created a "wild-flower" swatch that could be used as fabric. It took many manipulations to change the original shot to the end result. Like it?
