Rubbish Tuesday #3

Sad to see the old barns caving in and turning to rubbish.

Today the Yucca plants are in full bloom.

There is so much nature surrounding me and it is all so beautiful that I hardly know where to start!

Everything is Coming up Roses

Oh! My goodness! There are so many beautiful roses throughout the campground. It seems the winter woes did them no harm. It is a bountiful year for the roses. This is only a tiny sampling and I have a difficult time omitting many of the pictures I took today. It was a rosy day for sure. I have never in the 15 years of riding on my golf cart throughout seen so many lovely blooms.  Roses rule this year.

Do you see what I saw? Aren't they BEAUTIFUL!
Oh, by the way the past 5 days have been in the 90's!

Good Fences #7

There was an unexpected and unusual snow event at the beach in SC on February 13, 2010. We were surprised when we woke up to this! I grabbed the camera and rode my golf cart in my slippers and robe just to get the photos before it all melted.

Finally Flowers!

It has happened! The daffodils are blooming. Note that there are 2 different varieties!

The old rock garden still exists, but the only pretty flowers that bloom here now are the daffodils. My mother had it full of different perennials. Usually we see these mid-April. They have been here as long as I can remember.

Dog tooth violets grow among the periwinkle and there are many more.
Some call them trout lilies.

These little blue flowers are all over the bank by the woods. I think they are Scilla Siberica.

Good Fences #6

In March 2010, I spotted these flowers in bloom around the hurricane fence at the beach in South Carolina. In June they had developed into small peaches. Someone must have thrown a pit over the fence.
