This morning the sun was out full and warm. I meandered with cane and camera down to the lakefront to see if there was any chance of my sword beans having a hint of blossoming. Nope! Well the frost will come very soon and the project will be at its complete end. If there were any way to plant the seeds directly in the earth under a trellis of some sort they might have had a better chance. This was a fail but we gave it a good try both the beans and I!
At the water's edge I observed American Pondweed floating and some little lavender flowers blooming prettily.
There are still three bud clusters that will soon bloom on the white geranium!

By the way, a SWORD BEAN can grow very large beans! Just not here.
