Summer Has Arrived

The vacationers are having lots of fun here, but it is now way too crowded for us. There are kids on bikes, scooters, and roller blades to be found on all streets. The bigger ones zip around on the golf carts looking to meet the other sex. Of course! Basketballs bouncing constantly is an annoying sound. And the water slides -  pools - well I won't tell you of the shenanigans that go on there by both youngsters and adults. Everyone is having tons of fun as the weather has been both extremely hot and wonderful.

I don't walk on the beach now like I used to. It is packed! The time to leave and head for our quieter and more peaceful summer has come. September is a good time to return as we have done for so many years.

I have observed nature at its best and photographed all of my personal interesting subjects during the past two months. We shall now decamp for the hills.

  1. That beach and the water look so inviting. It is hot here and we have been under a severe thunderstorm here all afternoon!

  5. Those are great pics of summer fun. It didn't bother me when I was younger, but these days, I avoid heavily crowded areas, too.

  6. These are really wonderful photos of summer! But I would be like you...heading for the hills. All that noise is too much for me as I get older.

  7. Love the shots especially the little girl. Very cute.
Is that a pike or a pickerel in the last shot?
