It has happened! The daffodils are blooming. Note that there are 2 different varieties!

The old rock garden still exists, but the only pretty flowers that bloom here now are the daffodils. My mother had it full of different perennials. Usually we see these mid-April. They have been here as long as I can remember.
Dog tooth violets grow among the periwinkle and there are many more.
Some call them trout lilies.
These little blue flowers are all over the bank by the woods. I think they are Scilla Siberica.

ReplyDeleteI recognize those flowers though I didn't know the names. Of course there's the daffydill which is a kind of goofy pickle.
