Flower Run

I took a short buggy ride because I didn't want to get "dusted" when a car, or worse yet, a truck passes. Along the way I see that first blooms are dying and new ones are showing their beauty. I sure do like seeing these. A quick in and out was the plan today. They are without identification. I know most but not feeling it is as important as the colors.

My heritage purple iris are either toppled over or coming out late. I'll try to get a photo of at least one! None here today.
New kid on the block . . .
If I'm up to it tomorrow, I may buggy-wander over to the neighbor lake and see what's up and pretty there!

Autumn Happenings

Early in this morning's view I saw the Canada Geese resting on the lake in preparation for their annual flight south. It happens every year about this time.

Their arrival prompted me to take another buggy ride to see if there are more colors evident in the surrounding close-by areas. Some images were taken at Lake Chrisann and others at Heart Lake. It was a cool day but I got through the journey with success. Soon the buggy will be leaving for winter storage. When the milkweed are open it's the time to do this!

By the way I didn't see a single critter!

Watching...

I am not very good at drawing or sketching. The old application I use to make some of my latest creations is difficult for me to operate. I have to move my index finger on the laptop keypad due to my frozen shoulder. The stylus that is supposed to be used on the Wacom Utility controls me and I gave that method to the birds. (It is a graphic tablet that plugs into my computer.) Sometimes I have no idea what the end result will be as I make many mistakes along the way. BUT I do really enjoy the attempts. It is a challenge to get them the way I want them and I do them mostly for myself. I don't give a darn whether others like or dislike my work. I sure am rambling today...

My true intent was to create a Santa of many colors looking at everyone no matter who or where they are. I think it was quite successful. It would have been better if I didn't feel that I had to explain it to you.

Gold...and other colors

The kind that you find at the end of a rainbow, that is. Heck, I've never even found the pot! I didn't realize that I had as many rainbow pictures and items as I do until I went looking. You see, when I saw my suncatcher making rainbows on kitchen things this morning, I began to wonder about the real meaning of the rainbow. I know it means hope. I've always been fascinated by them since I was a young child. I don't collect rainbow paraphernalia but it seems I do have some.
Two rainbow containers that a daughter brought home to me years ago from one of her vacation trips.
A craft I made with ribbons and beads back around 2008.
Of course real rainbows are the best and I have seen many and caught just a few. They are not my passion but...
The beauty of Mother Nature is always food for the soul.

Practice

Today I saw a graphic and my head started to whirl with ideas. I could do this all day! (I forgot where I found the original so I cannot give credit.)
  Original
  First I saw a butterfly
My butterfly was made even more beautiful
It morphed into a beautiful lady
  She is still changing...

Well it is lunchtime so I'll have to quit.   DANG!
